How to Reprogram a Skoda Key Fob
Many people wonder how to reprogramme the car key fob if they aren't sure the reason for why it stopped working. This is normal, as key fobs often get jostled around and buttons may become broken or jammed.
The first thing to try is to change the battery. If you're not able to get it to work, it may be time for the replacement.
1. Turn off the ignition.
If your key fob stopped working in the last few days, it's likely the battery needs to be replaced. Batteries are affordable and easy to replace. This should be the first step you make before trying to reprogram your key.
Ensure the car is turned off and all doors are closed. Then you can insert your current key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position. You should not turn the engine on.

6. Press the Lock Button
